IĀ“ve lived in Ramblewood for 2-1/2 years. Both of my apartments were on Crooked Tree (in different buildings) and, as someone else wrote in their review, the buildings are old and they tend to attract lower income families. I havenĀ“t had problems with it, but I donĀ“t leave my windows open at night on the ground floor.
Maintenance is pretty bad, but I donĀ“t think itĀ“s as bad as some people make it to be. I had my dishwasher break and the person told me it was the soap that I was using, not the seal that was hanging off the bottom of the door. When the next person was sent out (after I called Maintenance again), it was fixed right away.
My main complaints are that the apartments are old and a little cold in the winter (Baseboard heating doesnĀ“t cut it sometimes when itĀ“s around zero degrees) and security is a joke. The Ā“securityĀ“ door on my place was busted for over 4 months, fixed, and then busted again. The parking lots can be noisy, especially in the summer when college students (and probably high-schoolers) party on the weekends. IĀ“ve heard about a courtesy patrol, but IĀ“ve never seen them in 2-1/2 years, so draw your own conclusions.
The staff has always been helpful to me. I was always treated pleasantly when I went to the office, although I had few reasons to go there other than to drop off rent.
Ramblewood is one of those places that used to be really nice, and is now an OK place to live. For the money, I did better after moving out.
