This is the most well rounded management I've experienced or heard of in Ypsilanti.
From my experience here, there either exists a landlord with too few properties to properly handle incidents as they arise, or a company that is too big to give tenants enough individual attention. Aside from some confusion about the internet situation along the way (more to do with their contractor figuring out the situation over a period of time (better now)), living at Flo-Mar is something I will miss dearly. I took comfort in the fact that the sole proprietor Marvin was actively involved in decision making, and also that Carmel, his daughter, will continue as he moves into retirement. The small staff are very warm (Renee baked special cookies just for me last week), and happy to accommodate special needs (allergy concerns in my case) should they arise.
I feel that being in Ypsi has an implicit amount of grit associated with it; can't escape that. That said, I find it remarkable how the attention to landscaping and exterior cleanliness sets the 121-125 Perrin complex apart from similar and adjacent complexes in the area. The hard work shows, and I was happy to show my parents where I lived when they visited.
