RECONSIDER MOVING IN CARRINGTON COURT APARTMENTS!!!!!!! I am a current tenant here and we have been here a year and a half. We are moving the end of August and i can not wait to get out of this dump. Where do i begin... 1. when we moved in the rug in the whole apartment was not cleaned. We were told by Diana (leasing agent) that the rug would be cleaned and the apartment would be repainted. That was NEVER done. We asked when this would be done after we moved in and they said they would look into but never got back with us. In addition to the rug stains, the walls have a few stains here and there as well. #2. The washer and dryer were both dirty and we had to clean it upon moving in so we could use it. #3. Both toilets (guest and master bath) have nasty looking hard water stains inside the bowl. Looks like a toilet that has ---- stains around it, but we clean them and the stains do not come out. We told the Management about this when they came in on one of there inspections and one of the women laughed and said, "they think it's dirt." We already have been told that it's hard water stains. We aren't idiots, just want a clean apartment for the money. #4. $1065 for a 2 bedroom 2 bath wouldn't be bad if the apartment was updated, clean and the walls weren't so thin. You can hear everything. On top of that, all the residences have to pay water, sewer and trash, which was originally included in the rent when we first signed the lease. $1100 total isn't worth this apartment, nor putting up with Management. #5. They come into the apartments constantly it seems. Always doing an "inspection". It's really ridiculous. They have their inspection and someone from the city came in to do an inspection. I am not sure why this is going on but we have never had to deal with so many inspections at an apartment before. It is quite intrusive. I also did not know they accept section 8. Not that it is bad. But in a lot of cases the Management and apartment aren't good due to this. On numerous occasions we have came home and found that someone have spilled food and beverages all over the floor in front of and in the elevators. Right now, it smells like someone let their pet piss right in front of the elevator in my building. For the last month it has been having this faint piss smell every time we get off the elevator to walk to our car. #6 Maintenance is sh&tty. They half --- clean (i.e, vacuum, wash windows, usual upkeep, etc), but are quick to send their letters informing people of what they will and won't tolerate. I understand order is necessary but when are you going to actually do some work and not just come in and "inspect"? #7 Parking is absolutely horrible. Don't expect to get a good space. There should be assigned parking. Paying $50 additional for a garage is laughable considering everything else. #9. Since we are moving, i gave an early notice. 90 days to be exact. Yes, it's that bad. So Management feels it's okay to bring strangers into my apartment to show it so they can quickly get another sucker in here. And they still probably won't clean the apartment up as should for the next renters. I feel that this is violating my privacy. We still live in our apartment and our belongings are still here. 90 days is a long time to invite people in for a tour. I wonder how long they think this will go on until i officially complain to Hayloft Property Management? Bottom line, there are other apartments or even twin homes that would make paying $1100 per month make sense. Carrington Court just doesn't fit that picture they try to paint.
