The best part of this complex is the location. Easy access to the highway and centrally located to get all around the metro in good time. I just relocated to the KC area in May so I enjoy the location to get places.
The apartment is ok. I don't advise renting a basement unit. I initially had a basement unit and discovered mold growing on the kitchen cabinets, on items in the master closet (clothes, pillows, suitcase and shoes--gross), and in the laundry area. Since it was in the basement, the trees made it very dark in the apartment and soon after I moved in I noticed it was very humid in there and it started smelling musty. I tried a dehumidifier inside and then later discovered all the mold. The basement units apparently back up to a basement storage-type area so it, too, was very dark and damp and had mold in it--was what the maintenance people told me. They came and "cleaned" the areas with mold with some sort of solution in a spray bottle and called it good, not really addressing the moisture issue. I couldn't handle living in that unit anymore because I kept finding more mold, so they "let" me move to a different building and unit. This time I'm on the middle floor and it's not so dark and damp so it is more enjoyable to live here. However, I am out $150 for moving costs and dry cleaning costs (to remove mold from clothing items), plus I threw away several things that could not be cleaned. I "chose" to move to a different unit so I had to pay for moving myself...what I can't understand is that I moved to a different unit as a result of them not maintaining the buildings properly and mold grew all over my belongings.
So, in summary, living here is ok for the time being, but DO NOT accept a basement unit! Oh and we also need more dog stations in well-lit areas please.
