Resident ā€¢ 2000 - 2004

4/17/2004

When I first moved in, the complex was owned and managed by Windsor. It changed hands a couple of times over the years and got worse with each change. The buildings are falling apart and management/maintenance show no interest in repairing the issues...serious problems, like water coming through my ceiling, took weeks to even get a maintenance person to show up to look at the problem. My air conditioning stopped working in the middle of summer. Rather than repair it, they would recharge the freon. That would last about 2 weeks...then IĀ“d have to call again...and it would be a week or two before theyĀ“d finally come to check it again...in the meantime, my apartment stayed around 90 degrees. In addition, the quality of the people renting has seriously degraded. When I first moved in, I felt secure and safe, even walking late at night. By the time I moved out, it was common to see police cars on the grounds. <br>There are much nicer complexes in the area for about the same price. I definitely donĀ“t recommend McAlpine Place.
