well, i've lived in a bad apartment community before, hell, i lived at colonial, but i have to say that other that the lake and the ducks, that this place rather sucks. i think that the worse part is the management staff. the guy in the office will tell you one thing, then you talk to the girl that is the manager, i think this ones name is michelle (there have been several in the 10 months we've been here) will tell you something completely opposite. she talked to my husband like he was a child, which didn't please him in any way, shape, or fashion. the apartment we were shown when we looked here was beautiful. then we got ours.... holes in the walls, messed up carpet, new appliances that don't work... fun times. we had this fantastic re-plumb (3rd in a row for us, aren't we the lucky ones) that we were told before signing our lease (we asked about the plumbing in advance seeing as we had been through this 2x before and didn't want to deal with it again) and kate (she's the one who duped us) told us that while, yes, they would eventually re-plumb due to the quest plumbing, but it would be a long time out. surprise! we get a notice on our door a couple of months in that tells us otherwise. there was a hole cut in the bathroom by maintenance to fix a leak and then the left this huge hole and said they would come back in a couple of days to fix it. i have a cat. a very curious one that would get himself in the there huge hole, and being that there are no separations between the floors, he would have been trapped in the wall. on a good note, they did come fix it right away once i raised hell at the office. on the bad side, it was a piece of cardboard screwed to the wall. we were please when we found out that an error was made in our lease. we signed a 15 month lease, but were recently told it was 12 months long. praise god! we're getting out of this stink hole! i will, however, miss my ducks. i call them fred and paolo.
