I've lived here for three years and have loved it; until about 3 weeks ago when I received my renewal letter and learned they want to increase my rent 40% per month (no that is not a typo. . .40%). Believing this rate increase to be unreasonable I contacted the Asst Property Manager and requested to meet with them to discuss options for adjusting the rent increase so that I could stay. Without even taking the time to hear what I had to say, she responded to my email saying (via the property manager) that "there is nothing we can do to adjust the renewal rate you were offered". So I found a new place and gave my notice. To my horror one week later I saw my current apartment listed on the website for LESS than what they offered me to renew!! Apparently they [could] adjust the rate they offered me, they just weren t willing to. I have tried several times to express my dissatisfaction with how this situation was handled (even including the Regional Manager on several emails) and have been met with zero concern or interest from the management group.
In summary: If money is no issue and you don't mind unreasonable rent increases (under the guise of "market" rates and availability ) then in all likelihood you will enjoy living at The Exchange. Personally I am counting the days until my move.
