...Ok, Ok, I Loved it here despite some negatives

Alright. Let me start by saying that this was my second apartment in NJ and i'm no stranger to this site. I have read and posted negative comments before. With that said...I loved this place. The only reason i had to move was my husband and i got divorced and i could afford it on my own but with the rising gas costs...i would have been maxed out. PRO: >My ex-husband and i got a completely renovated 9th floor two bedroom with the balcony in C-building. It was fabulous. The view was great and i always felt secure there. I agree that there are alot of retirees there but it's better than the place i came from where it's packed with illegals living 20 to an apartment. >The parking was ok. It's a large building with 900 apartments per, so obviously parking will not be perfect. >I never had issues with plumbing, bugs, nasty hallways or anything like that. I had one issue when i moved in. One electrical outlet wasnt working and they came and fixed it right away. >The appliances, carpet, toilet and everything was brand new. But like i said we had one of the renovated apartments. If you come here i recommend this. >For all utitlies included with the view, location, and the apartment...it was a steal! > the laundry room was had some new washers. And i didnt have to travel outside to another building to do laundry. Sometimes they broke down but it's obvious not to do laubdry on Sunday with everyone else. I never had an issue with nothing available if you go during the week. With all that it's a pro...cuz if you ever have to go outside to another building to do laundry in NJ's bitter cold...you're willing to accept this for sake of going outside! >Great lighting in parking areas. And the renovated lobbies are beautiful after they wgot completed. >I had great neighbors. But this is a gamble no matter where you go. So with that in mind, i got lucky. CONS: >I didn't care for the 75$ per month per car for use of the garage. That's rediculous for what i was paying. Only a few people used it, which hey...freed up more of the regular free parking. > I'm not paying i think it was another 70 or 100$ for pool membership for the summer. And mind you, that was per resident, not per apartment! For only use of the 1 -ONE- pool! No way! > As with most irresponsible people, one new neighbor moved in with a greyhound that parked everyting someone opened or closed a door. But that's the owners fault, not management. >Some idiot owning a pittbull walking it around grounds with NO MUZZLE! that i had an issue with since there are young children and elderly about. As with any apartment, do your research as i did with this one. 1. Getting good neighbors IS a gamble no matter where you go. 2. Not everything will be perfect. 3. Expect some things that you will not like, but have your limits. There are some poeple, issues and conditions that are just plain unacceptable. Most issues with apartments as i've learned are not management, but the TENANTS themselves...but don't quote me on that! Good Luck!
