Resident 2010 - 2011

8/22/2011

I moved in here as a last minute solution to the end of a relationship. Big mistake. Its so far off the strip, gas was killing me. I have made at least 6 noise complaints since living there. No solution. There is a fee for EVERYTHING. They charged me for electricity a month after I moved out and a new resident moved in. The bill was 150% higher than my own has been in previous months. They said the problem would be solved, but never took care of it. They did not reimburse me for my security deposit or my pet deposit (600 dollars) but sent me a bill at my new residency for $400 in pet carpet damages after I had also paid to have the carpet cleaned before I moved out. The staff was so friendly when I moved in, but they changed management two times. I went to the office once 20 minutes before they were closing and the office manager said she didn't have time to assist me with my problem because she was ready to leave. Packages have been lost in the mail THREE TIMES! Every time I went to speak to them about an issue, they seemed annoyed and did not help. One of the girls that was there since the beginning quit because she couldn't stand the ignorance of the new company. They spoke to me like I was a child. The day I moved out they kept calling me wanting to know approximately I would be out. I finally snapped and told them it was taking me longer every time they called me. I am a 25 year old single female student living in a two bedroom with a full time job, and moving is a bit more than a task for me. I work hard for what I have and do not deserve to be taken advantage of and dealing with all the issues they have given me is a waste of my time. I live in a high rise on the strip now and I'm paying LESS per month in bills and fees than I was at the Venue. And its nice to live in a place where people respect you. Oh, one last thing. The month I moved out, they hired an outside security company to patrol the grounds. A creepy man in a Prius or something. I parked my car in guest parking and was looking for my garage door opener late at night after I got off of work, and he stopped to see what was going on. In the midst of complimenting my dress and telling me how beautiful I am, I got in my car and closed the door to continue my search. He rolled down his window and stared at me with a greasy smile on his face for about 3 minutes straight before I decided my best bet was to leave my car in guest parking and scurry up the dangerous cement stairs in my stilettos. Tripped and scraped my knee on the way up. Locked the door behind me and hid under my blankets until morning.
