Resident 2003 - 2005

10/2/2005

Stay Away, there are plenty of other options for apartment living within a 5 mile vicinity, do not put yourself through a year's worth of regret by signing a lease with the Connor Group at the Arbors of Montgomery. They will sell you on amenities before you sign lease, but then those amenities are not really made available and they will tell you to read your lease because you are not paying for them so there is nothing you can do. The pool did not open until June 14th 2005 and was closed several different weeks over summer for repair. It was too dirty to swim in when it was open and they would not turn lights on at night because they were saving money on the electric bill so the pool had to be closed at dark each night and everyone was kicked out. The tennis courts are supposed to be available until 11 PM, but the lights are not turned on, ever, again to save on the electric bill so at dark you can not utulize the tennis courts. Management has been notified of over half of all outside building lights being out, but they have not done anything to repair them. So it makes everything very dark and unsafe if you have to go out at night to walk a dog or come in late. Most apartments have leaky faucets and toilets and the tenats split the community water bill, since everyone is dissatisfied with this place and moving out, the water bill is split between fewer tenats, my bill used to be about $18 a month and it was over $38 last month. We have a truck parked in our parking lot that has trash filling the entire bed and it has been that way for 3 months. Back in the hotter months it smelled like Rumpke, but management has done nothing about it. Management does not seem to be able to control the garbage dumpster maintence. They start projects and leave their supplies around the property, like wooden stakes which children then played with and leave in the road for people to drive over. Tenants throw ciggarette butts (I mean hundrends and hundreds) and beer bottles all over the property and management again, does nothing to curtail the problem. So it really is not a safe environment for children, pets or vehicles. I do have to agree with other reviewers about the other tenants, we have some wonderful dog lovers who will talk to you if you come to look at the property stop and ask them about their experiences before you sign a lease. Many of us will probably share with you our feelings of the sting of being sold or resold on a community we loved and seeing it driven into the ground and the tenants being treated with such indifference. The customer definately does not matter here.
