Dover Farms is anything but a Ć¢??luxuryĆ¢?? apartment community. I have lived here since November 2013 and I absolutely HATE it Ć¢?? especially considering the amount of rent I pay.
Back when I signed my lease the previous manager and leasing agents told me that they were getting all new fitness equipment in January Ć¢?? even went as far as LIE and tell me the budget has already been approved for it. I brought up this concern because on my tour I saw that numerous free weights were missing and it looked dingy Ć¢?? nothing like the pictures they have posted online. I believed these people when they addressed my concerns but at the end of the day they were ALL fired and replaced with the new team who doesnĆ¢??t care because it Ć¢??wasnĆ¢??t them and they were all fired for it.Ć¢??
The tanning bed has had 4 light bulbs out since I moved in. I have brought this up to the old employees as well as the new ones on more than one occasion and they are still burned out.. 8 months later. The paper towels are always empty and the Ć¢??cleaning solutionĆ¢?? to clean the bed is usually empty, missing the spray nozzle or just completely gone.
My building is kind of in the middle of the complex, it sits right on the bottom of a hill. I hate my building and the people in it. As I walk down the stairs by my garage I am greeted by the smell of dog poop and a ground littered with trash. It looks like the ------ of Cleveland (which I had previously moved from and sucked up the high rent for the schools and safer neighborhood Ć¢?? plus I am from Brecksville and its closer to where I want my daughter to grow up). Anyway, This morning as I was leaving there was a broken Barbie, some kind of game cube, the exit sign (from the hallway that someone knocked off), a plastic kidĆ¢??s cup and random pieces of other trash (pictures attached). The door to walk in is covered in spider webs and other creepy-crawlies. Sometimes I get really lucky and someone has propped open the Ć¢??securityĆ¢?? door so I donĆ¢??t even have to fiddle with my keys. Walking up the steps to my 3rd floor apartment I can see the hallways havenĆ¢??t been cleaned in months because someone spilled chex-mix is still crunched into the carpet from 4 weeks prior. Oh and guess what my neighbor still hasnĆ¢??t taken out their trash because its sitting in the hall way next to all her kids shoes. (I wouldnĆ¢??t have a problem with these kids if they didnĆ¢??t throw pizza at my from their balcony while their mother cusses them out (and houses a Pitt bull) but who am I to judge?!) I finally get to my door and I have a handwritten paper sign with my address above the door instead of the nicer Ć¢??plaquesĆ¢?? like others in the Ć¢??communityĆ¢??. Over all my apartment is decent inside Ć¢?? nothing too fancy but clean and comfortable. I am on the 3rd floor so IĆ¢??m not really bothered by noise except for when my neighbor next door is up at 6am getting ready for work.
These are just some of my concerns and issues Ć¢?? if I edit and add more as I come across them I will. Don't move here - this place isn't worth your money!
