prospective • Visited 2008
I lived in Kenwood in 2002. In my building were nothing but alcoholic hard drug users. Cocaine, marijuana. . .you name it they did it. I visited the property today just to see if anything has changed. A one bedroom is $379 advertised, but they charge an additional 30 trash, water, sewage fee. Normally this is just included in the rent and is a new policy. They want to pressure you into signing. . .so they say well if you bring this back in 24 hours you we'll waive $25. I lived in a 3 bedroom and paid full price 620. Everyone in my building paid well under advertised low prices and they did not sign leases much before me.
Kenwood is not worth the money, but it's location relative to campus, mall, highway is it only positive point. These properties were built in the 1950s and the complex is riddled with sex offenders. This is the neighborhood where your son or daughter will jog around in the morning or walk to school.
See Ohio Sex Offender Public Registry.

There is also cockroach outbreak. This is only a few degrees from a slum. The city needs to get involved and protect the students living in these horrid conditions. Or the complex needs to re-evaluate its price.
