Resident 2003 - 2005

5/3/2005

If you only read one thing let it be this, they have three gate doors into the complex and two of those are chained shut for no reason! People climb the fence or have to walk around the entire complex (in the snow, the heat, after long hours of work, ect.) just to get into their home even though there is a door right there next to their apartment. Everyone complains about this, but nothing has been changed.
The only real advantages to these apartments are location and size. It is close to restaurants, the large downtown library, the art museum, schools, the downtown bus loop, The NW Ohio Dental Center, St. Vincent Hospital, and the St' Vincent Family Medical Center. The only thing missing is a good grocery and retail store. Also it has three bedroom apartments for a good price which is very hard to find.
The problems are plentiful though. The parking area is dangerous, children run around without much parental control, the all too present loud noises are too easily heard through very thin walls, people break the rules on a daily bases without being kicked out, the laundry room is often closed when it is suposed to be open, the staff in the office tries to be nice, but don't resond to any real problems you have (and often the only person available can't even take your rent payment), the entrance gate is almost always broken, and I've stopped asking for things to be fixed because it's a waste of breath.
If you can do better than New Cheney I sugest you do.
