Love Yukon, Apartments not what expected..

Okay.. I grew up in Yukon and I love the town here. When I decided to move my family back from Texas two months ago, of course I looked at every apartment in Yukon and even Mustang. After talking to the leasing staff in the office and touring The Park at WestPoint, we decided this was the place. The staff boasts about luxury living, gated, nice grounds, close to the highway, and QUIET community. I have two kids so, being considerate of others asked for a first floor apartment so we wouldn't bother the neighbors. The first complaint I have starts in the leasing office. I was told that the deposit on a two bedroom was $150.00. After the $150.00 was received, I was told I was $50.00 short, that the deposit was actually $200.00(I even have one of the leasing agents on a voicemail, reminding me of the $150.00 deposit). I brushed it off, sent another $50.00 and let it go. Next I was asked if I wanted a courtyard view or parking lot view. I chose the courtyard view. When we were signing the lease we were showed our apartment on the community layout map and were told we had first floor courtyard. Well they got the first floor right, but gave us an apartment with a parking lot view. Not wanting to mess with the hassle of switching and complaining decided to let that go as well. Now the community wasn't full when we moved in so the noise wasn't really an issue. Two months later, that s another story. We have had problems in our building with noise. Apartment walls are thin and the running up and down the stairs gets old at 4:00am. I am not naive, I know that apartments are noisy and therefore that s why I chose 1st floor. I'm not sure how many people are living in the apartment above us, but I've seen on a regular basis at least six different people that are living there, not just hanging out. I made a compliant to the office staff about the noise and was told it would be taking care of. I don't know what "taking care of means here" but the noise got worse. A couple days later, had to talk to the office again, and was promised it would be addressed more sternly this time, and a letter would be out by the end of the week to the entire building. Not only has it not been taking care of, I never saw a letter. The apartments are nice, but other than the updated kitchen appliances, I don't see what they are calling LUXURY. For $800.00 a month, it sure seems like they let anyone move in, I could get the same apartments, minus the appliances for $500.00 a month in the city. The maintenance staff is very friendly and tries their best to keep trash picked up and the grounds clean. This is not a bad apartment or community, just needs a management that can handle the tenants not just bring them in to sign a lease.
