I moved into Charter Court close to a year ago. I must say that I have been very disappointed with this place and do not plan on renewing my lease. I have read some of these reviews and thought I should add some truth to the mix. Although, the updated appliance are nice, there are some serious management and structural concerns. For starters, the water is shut off for extended hours every week, sometimes a few times a week. There is always something wrong with plumbing. I have noisy neighbors over top of me. I made several complaints and nothing has changed, now I just go to a different room to ignore the noise. I think that security is cool but they are not securing the premises to be honest. I have lots of guests come in and out. Sometimes the front door is just left opened. Lucky for me my car has not gotten broken into but in walking to the lot, I have seen cars broken into. Sometimes the window glass sits on the ground for weeks. It's kinda messed up. I have horrible shower experiences. The water constantly changes from luke warm to scorching hot to icy cold. That can be frustrating. Another frustration is that the fire alarm goes off a lot, sometimes 1-2 week. I'm not sure of it is the system or someone playing a prank, but it is a disruption. Also, I wouldn't say that maintenance works in a timely manner. They take their time, you have to be cool with people in here to get what you want, but I guess that's anywhere in life. So far, since being here the most helpful person has been Gerald or Gerrad, the front desk guy. He is very pleasant and will go out his way to help out even with tasks that are not his job. This is not the worse place to live...but I am not pleased with this place especially given the money I pay. I encourage people to talk to residents and ask questions because that is the only way you will gauge the quality of the apartment. Good luck!

    Thanks for taking the time to write this review. We take all feedback written on here seriously, whether it's positive or negative. I'm disappointed to know that you've had a negative experience here and that you will not be extending your lease with us. The building is old, so we've been experiencing many water issues due the aging equipment. In the very near future we will be replacing the new equipment which will address many of the issues.
