Charter court. Well, I move every few months for my job, and when I moved here, I had about 42 hours to find a place, sign a lease, and move from about 6 hours away. So, I was in a pickle. I picked housing that was about half a mile from employment. I was able to get in here, and now I wish I had done more research (which is my norm). Everything is true: roaches, noisy heating system, WINDOWS are so old and rickety that when Sandy came through I was ready to run out at any moment, water is always on boiling hot in the showers with little pressure (so frustrating for girls with long hair) or usually off completely several times a week, my door doesn't even lock, the shelves in my new kitchen fall down (with food and plates on them), repairs I have needed for 4 months have yet to be completed, and they cut out the internet cable when you leave so you have to pay to have it reinstalled (next tenant). The list goes on forever. I am going to VA in one month, see ya Charter Court. YES, they are doing nice renovations down stairs in the lobby area, but it seems very superficial. The building needs a proper gut out or to face the facts: worth $450 for a studio or get out (tough luck with that).
