Resident 2011 - 2012

6/26/2012

Convenient and Quiet

I'll soon be renewing my lease for another year and have so far enjoyed living here. The Apartments: I love my apartment. There's so much space as compared to many other places in the area. Along with lots of closet space, each apartment has a large storage locker located in the basement. Our balcony is also very spacious and overlooks a courtyard. This isn't true for most apartments, we just lucked out. Lots of natural lighting makes the place even more pleasant. The kitchen is also very open, unlike the typical galley kitchens you find in other apartment complexes. Maintenance: A new staff was hired for the office about a year ago and I've noticed afterwards that things really began to improve. The former person who ran things was horrible. Last year our balcony needed major repairs to the roof yet nothing was done for literally months, even after multiple requests were made. It seemed that as soon as the new staff took over, repairmen were there that week and fixed the problem. The stairways have all been freshened up and the grounds are in better shape too. Parking: There's always plenty of parking. Parking isn't assigned but I usually have no problem getting a spot right outside my door each day. Noise: Except for the occasional sound of kids playing in the courtyard and playground, I never hear any loud noises. The other residents in our building are pretty quiet and consist mostly of families and older residents. Safety: As I've said before, most of the residents consist of families, senior citizens or professional types. The one thing I don't like is that the outside doors don't have locks or a buzzer system. I really hope they change that soon. The community is very friendly and people are always out walking or sitting on their balconies, even late at night. Community: Perfect if you're a commuter. Literally a minutes drive to the Turnpike and 611. The Willow Grove Mall is 5 minutes away and Walmart is right around the corner. Too many options for dining to mention. Lots of nice towns like Ambler, Doylestown, Abington, Jenkintown are nearby and we're only about a half hours drive from Center City Philadelphia. Overall I like this place a lot. The only major issue I have is the lack of a buzzer system but the community is safe and quiet.
