Noisy & Messy

Upon first inspection, the complex and apartment was very clean. It was wonderful to find an apartment so close to downtown, at a reasonable rate that was so clean and well maintained.

Well, the old saying that one bad apple spoils the bunch holds true to Richardson Vista Apartments, now renamed North Pointe Apartments.

I had peace and quiet for two days before the upstairs neighbor decided that she was in love with the bass on her radio/cd player. The thumping and noise was so great, I ended up sleeping with ear plugs - which was a first for me. I called Management, made numerous complaints, knocked on her door and begged her to please turn it down (in return I received screams from her and filthy language) and approximately six calls to the police.

The managers did very little - one warning is what she received. The managers told me that if I was the only one to complain from there on out, they wouldn't do anything. I needed another neighbor to back up my story. Hello - she was ABOVE me. The neighbors to the side of me couldn't hear her!

Then about two weeks later the family from hell moved in next door to me. Here's the second bad apple that brought unholy hell down upon our particular building. Six people in a three bedroom apartment, four children - all girls. Some teen's, some pre-teen, one toddler. The screaming - from the toddler, girls AND parents was unbearable. The teens meant boys and lots of them. Boys who vandalized our lobby, stairwells, doors, doorways, etc. The girls vandalized the street signs, the brand new complex parking signs, etc. They rode skateboards down the stairs at 2am - I could go on and on.

Again, the management did nothing. At one point, there was eleven people living in that three bedroom apartment. I called management - again, they did nothing.

I felt I had no choice but to move the hell out of there ASAP. To my expense, discomfort and dismay. My apartment was great. Clean, great location, heated parking. But - the neighbors. It wasn't just white trash, but every race of trash that lives there. They are the ones giving Government Hill a very bad name.

So I moved out in this frigid Arctic weather and it was so worth it. I have an apartment now that is QUIET and CLEAN. You CAN have the best of both worlds.
