I have lived in Yak Estates for a year now and have disliked every minute of it. on several occasions the management has failed to repair trouble calls. The neighborhood is fairly quiet but some tenants seem to be louder than others and the noise policies that they have set in place are never enforced. Dogs are not supposed to be out of the house without a leash, but again this is not enforced. The units are not at all pepared for the winters up here, there is not adequate insulation and ice, not frost, often builds up throughout the house. Safety is a big concern as the apartments overall have a big lack of everyday security measures. There are no light fixtures in the bedrooms they can only be found in the kitchen, bathroom, and stairway, even in a 3 bedroom apartment. There are no wall outlets, only outlets in the floor that receive one plug only. Full size couches will not fit into the apartments along with queen size beds not fitting up the stairs found in all apartments without taking down permanent fixtures. outdoor lighting is inadequate around the apartments with only one dim light outside that is unreachable and hard to change. The only good thing that i have to say about the complex is that it is under new management and improvements seem to be coming slowly but surely.
