I also have had the pleasure of living in the horrible property known as Aspen Run Apartments. When I moved into the apt in 1996, Colonial Properties owned it. After they sold the property, it steadily declined. I too have gone through the problem of trying to collect my deposit check. I left my apt spotless and made the leasing agent do a walk-through and sign the paperwork that my apt was in emmaculate condition. Well, it has been 2 months and I am still waiting on my check. Every time I call the office, "the check is being processed" is the answer that I have received. No one will give out the corporate name or number so that I can call the corporate office to complain. My experience there was truly horrid! DO NOT lease an apartment on this property! Live in Super 8 Motel first!
