I have lived in aspen ridge with my roommate for almost 3 years now. At first it was ok, but that steadily began to change. We were so excited because we finally got to move out of the dorms into what we thought was going to be a very nice apartment. The actual apartment we live in is great. It is very spacious and clean. The maintenance on the other hand is ABSOLUTELY AWFUL. They will take 3 weeks to come change a light bulb. Well actually they will not come; it is only when you see one of the maintenance men riding on the little carts and you stop them can you finally get something accomplished. When I first moved in,I had a leak in my bathroom. Once the leak was fixed, mold began to grow. I called them 3 times to come treat the mold. Each time they would paint over it. Who would paint over mold knowing it is only going to grow back. I finally began to treat it my own way. You never get the simple things done that you need, but you HAVE to pay your rent ON TIME. I know that there are hundreds of tenants living in the complex, but it should never take as long as it does to get a problem solved. The good thing about living here is that it has help me to be very proactive when it comes to searching for another apartment. I make sure prompt maintenance is at the top of my list when questioning about the complex. If you are thinking about moving here, DON'T! Find somewhere that is worth your money. Unless you are skilled enough to do all of your repairs, this place is not. Like I said our apartment was nice, but we need help from the maintenance to make sure it stays that way.
