I work FT and I am also a student at UAB. I do not feel that my apartment complex should a daily worry for me. However, since moving here, it has been. The staff are OUTRAGEOUSLY RUDE AND NONCHALANT about any of your concerns. All they care about is your rent money. Don't make the mistake of being late or you will get a rude notice of eviction. I suggest you research your rights because these people WILL try to get over on you. My apartment was robbed two months after I first moved in, and they came at me like I had given keys out to the city. No apology, no consolation, NOTHING. Forget about maintenance. Only in extreme emergency's do I call maintenance. And you have to STAY on them. The Leasing Department have lost my money orders and WOULD NOT look for it. Despite the fact I left it in their LOCKED PAYMENT BOX. They can send me a notice, but won't take time to find my money orders. I get them canceled and pay them in full. I think that everything is fine. Now, I come home to a notice saying they have been to my apartment, and I am still late and they will go through the process of evicting me. How do you evict someone who is paid in full' These people are a terrible, terrible headache. I just renewed my lease, and they are acting crazy now. I wish I had known. Something has GOT to give. Something very sneaky and conniving is going on, and people need to know this. All things done in the dark SOON will come to light.
