My boyfriend and I recently moved into the dump at the end of September. I regret signing the damn contract. To make a long story short we were late on the rent and the week after rent was due we paid it. We started getting letters from a lawyers office saying we were being sued and there was going to be a termination of lease ( Mind you this was the day before Thanksgiving and rent was due on the 3rd) The paper we recieved said we had 24 hours to make payment. I'm going nuts like what is going on'''' The office was closed, the Lawyers office was closed, then there was the entire thanksgiving weekend to wait. I couldn't even enjoy the holidays. When Monday hit I went to the bank so quick and checked my withdrawl statments. There was proof the rent had been paid. I had Michelle looking like a idiot! She called herself trying to get a little attitude and snap which proved the theories that I had been hearing, Aspen Trail does staff some very racist people. She thought she knew what she was talking about! HA!!! Damn Fool!They thought they were going to make a come up on me, $610 for late rent, $203 for lawyer fees and $14 for sending the notice. That's a total of $827, plus Monday I get another notice for court that would be held the next day. If I didnt show up I would be automatically fined another $203 for the lawyer blah blah, which would be a total of $1073 dollars. yeah they love the money here. Can you imagine being fined $1073 over the holidays for something you know you had paid but somebody just f'd up the paperwork'''
