I Like It

This is one of the best priced apartments in the Birmingham area in my opinion. Most 2 bedrooms you find in B'ham are going to be around $680-$700 and around 875 sq. ft. This one is $619 a month and is 1000 sq. ft. I love the large rooms and the layout HOWEVER I must echo the cat concerns. There are stray cats everywhere around this complex and they are breeding machines. One particular litter was born right before I moved in and at about 9pm one night I heard a horrible screaming coming from outside. I went out to look at found a tiny 5 week old kitten with her eyes and nose so full of puss that they were glued shut. I couldn't stand to leave her to die so after about $200 in vet visits I've adopted a new kitten. I learned a few weeks later that my next door neighbor had as well. The maintenance crew is good although they don't like to leave messages on your machine. They'll just call 4 or 5 times and then eventually knock on your door. Once they're there they are pretty helpful but nothing to write home about. Noise level really hasn't been an issue for me other than the occasional cat fight at 2am. I think if someone called Animal Control the rating for this place would go way up. All in all I'm pleased with my apartment honestly. It's centrally located and for the size and the price I got exactly what I expected.
