The apartments are deceptive. They look nice, they used to be on a nice golf course (currently a dirt pile) and they were somewhat reasonably priced. However, any problems you have while you are here will likely be ignored. I have asked repeatedly for someone to come check my floor, and they haven't. I have asked repeatedly for the employee that lives next door to me to NOT smoke on the stairwell since I am allergic to smoke, and not only does she continue to smoke outside my door, but she does so in a bathrobe while whining on her cell phone. Everytime I open my door, smoke comes in and stinks up my apartment. When I go to work, I have to walk through a smoke cloud, so I go to my office smelling like an ashtray. You will step in dog crap on the way to your car because pet rules aren't enforced. You will see neighbors with pit bulls. You willnot be able to get your mail because lazy people park in the mail spots instead of the parking lot to keep from walking an extra 20 feet to their apartment. You will wake up in the morning to go to work and discover there is a car parked, for no reason, in the aisle of the parking lot, blocking you in and preventing other cars from backing out and pulling in without a big hassle. None of these problems will be taken care of. When your air conditioner breaks in July, you will be asked if that's really something that needs to be taken care of today. And did I mentioned the kids that are allowed to run around at all hours of the night banging things on the doors of apartments' Oh, and how about the young black kid that harasses me everytime I check my mail' And the people that parking on the other side of a blind curb to unload their groceries because, again, they are too lazy to park in a real spot and take their groceries in like everyone else.
Now, the majority of my issues are with that one employee in my building, who also happens to be the one who wrote down my work order to have my floor looked at (I watched her write it down... and it never happened.) The other girls in the office seem nice enough, but there's a broken link here somewhere. I'd appreciate rules being enforced in my complex. If I wanted to live in a place like this I would have looked elsewhere.
Save your money and go somewhere else. They should change the name of this place from Barrington on the Green to Barrington on the Dirt-------- Pile.
