Made me hate Birmingham...

On our first day of moving in, our carpet was soaking wet... I thought maybe they had just cleaned it (even though it smelled like dirty feet). However, it came to our attention that our hot water heater was leaking. Our entire hallway was flooded by morning. We had several problems with water. Our guest bathroom's toilet was leaking, so it had made the bottom of the our vanity rotten (which still hasn't been replaced.. 2 months later). We decided to walk around the apartment and make sure nothing else was wrong. Boy, we're not happy. The place was filthy. They hadn't cleaned the toilets, kitchen, and like I said before, it stunk. There were bug remains all over the place. Our sliding glass door wouldn't open easily, and once you got it opened it was impossible to close. Our Fireplace flue (sp) was stuck open, so any heat we tried to get in was sucked out immediately. We had a SERIOUS ant problem that took WEEKS to get rid of. Our appliances are out-dated, not to mention broken. Our Washer leaks from the bottom and prides itself on walking across the kitchen. The dryer is disconnected from the wall so everytime we use it, all the dust goes into the kitchen. The maintenance staff couldn't be ANY slower! If there is something to be fixed, you might as well try to yourself. Oh, just recently one of our pipes burst and blew a hole in the wall. We had to turn our water off and it took them a couple days to fix the damage, and it's still not completed. We also have some sort of animal living in our ceiling, and a mouse that likes to call our apartment home. Luckily we're moving next week. Don't move here! You will regret your decision as soon as you arrive. All I will say is the outside of the community looks really nice. That is, until the garbage overflows in the dumpster and piles out into the road. Also, if you get here after 6 pm good luck with parking. I truly don't see how they are ever going to release our apartment what with the rotten floors (we have a nice hill in our hallway), and droopy ceilings. They're going to have fun tricking the next people to come here.
