I had no issues with the maintenance crew, they were great, its the management. Until they get a decent manager I can not recommend this place to anyone. After 9 months of living in the apartments, and always making my rent payment on the first of the month, never late, The only complaint I had was the parking, if I came in late at night I could not find a parking place, other than that it was all fine.... Untill I moved out, I turned in my move out notice in march, as I had just bought a house. My lease was set to expire in may, so it was ample time for a notice. They even sent me a confirmation letter of notice to vacate, and congratulating me on my new home purchase so on...Also when we moved out we made sure the apartment was clean, my wife and I spent hours cleaning to make sure we got most if not all of our deposit back.I also put the keys in an envelope and dropped them in a night deposit box at the office on the day I was to vacate the premisis. I paid 275 dollars for a damage deposit, I got a $45 dollar check in the mail 2 weeks later. I was furious, so I called the Cahaba lakes office to find out why I only got $45 back, I spoke with the manager, she said I never turned in a notice and that the money they kept was for extra days rent, I told her that I did in fact turn in a notice, and after bickering back and forth about that, she said she was not going to argue with me unless I had proof, (some way to treat a loyal customer that was never late on rent). I did find the letter of proof, showing the letter of acceptance for the vacation of the premisis. I will update this when I find out how much more they are refunding me. This has been a very bad experience, I will not recommend this place to anyone untill management has changed!

My is similar, my mother and i just moved in and they tricked us into the contract by telling us that we could pay a cheaper amount of rent before we signed the lease, then when we did sign the lease the rent got higher. They tried to screw us

Oh for anyone reading this, I never got any of the money back. I will never, ever, ever reccommend this place to anyone, the manager was a black lady then, is it still her? If so she can kiss my ass!
