Run for your life! Don't Move Here!

I have lived at the apartment for a little of one year (just for the school system). Don't be fooled by the model apartment that they show you when you come to look at the apartments.

Here are my complaints:

I wanted to switch to another apartment, but changed my mind after reviewing the street where they wanted me to relocate. The address they gave me was on a street in the complex that resembled the poor section of East L.A...or worse Little Havanna. Low class looking people sitting on the tops of cars, loud music playing, dirty children running around barefoot. I have nothing against people of other races, however, each race has a bad bunch. These people were definitely of the lower ranks of society...Section 8. I'm a professional looking person who pays full rent. Why on earth would management think that I would want to live on that street with filthy trash'!

Ant/Cockroach Problem! I had to buy my own pesticide and have to spray once a week.

Nothing is ever fixed on time. Maintenance is slow.

Raggedy bathrooms.

Horrible Management: they cash your rent check and then send a notice stating that you are late.

Rent/Lease: Changed my rental agreement to month to month, claiming that I did not sign a my lease. Given a new lease, but at a higher rate for month to month. I was late paying rent on one occasion, because I went out of town for the holdiay. I was sent an eviction notice a few days later.

Rats/Racoons scratching all night long inside the walls! Can't sleep! Help!

I'm going to report them to the Health Inspector!

Cats! Stray cats are all over the place. Don't leave your apartment door or car door open for two seconds, or a cat will dart in without you knowing. Come home to find a pair of green eyes stairing at you in the dark....the damn cat! Enough to make you have a heart attack! Can you imagine driving down 280 and all of a sudden, something is rubbing on your neck, or peereing across the back seat at you..a damn cat! Enough to make you have a wreck and kill yourself or somebody else. I'm moving out in a couple of weeks! To hell with them and their lease!

You must have toured down Buck Horn Cove. If not, then there is more than one "Little Havana" within the confines of Cahaba Lakes. I've seen many moving trucks in my short time here; I guess folks leave as soon as they can. Man, if I had just asked for a shorter lease!!
