It has its downfalls, just like every other apartment complex, but overall you can't beat it.
1. The price is awesome, nowhere else on Hwy 280 will you have the option of so many sizes in apartments with so many options for price, and a one bedroom starts out very low.
2. There are washers and dryers in every apartment, it is a great amentiy that not many places provide.
3. The staff is friendly and very prompt to our needs. The comunity is very large and with all of the people they must deal with, they make you feel like you are
4. Maintenance is excellent! They are always on top of things.
5. There are two clubhouses, and lots of things to do here including a heated pool in the winter.
Nice place to call home!!

Since mgt doesn't even bother to get creative, I will use the same intelligence for a comment of their 'original' review: From: Hayley72781 Date: 08/14/2005 Oh my lord!!! The management need to quit writing this crap or at least get more creative. This is the third time they have posted the EXACT SAME REVIEW!!!!!! UGH! Maybe they should work on making the place better instead of posting -------- reviews. |

It looks like "bjohnson1" has simply "recycled" the opinion posted on 10/30/03 (and several other times) in an attempt to "pad" the score. How original! You could have at least added a few new comments or corrected the grammar to make the entry a little more "legitimate". Or perhaps you should mark the entry "I'm the manager." Regarding the second "clubhouse", if you give them the $50 deposit for the gym key, you might as well keep the key after you move out, because you'll never see those $50 again. They will manufacture every excuse imaginable to keep from refunding the $50 deposit after you return the key. A business with any scruples whatsoever should at least be honest enough to tell you up front that it's really a non-refundable (but optional) amenity fee, rather than a "deposit". At least if people hear the truth up front, they have the option of saying "No, thanks." You should't bait people for their $50 by calling it a deposit if no have no intention of living up to your end of the bargain and returning the money when you get the key back from the tenant. When a tenant returns the amenity key, they should receive their $50 refund immediately. No ifs, ands or buts. Other than returning the key, there should be no other strings attached to keep you from receiving a refund. It would be interesting to see how many tenants have been robbed this way. Perhaps if we post an ad in the local newspaper telling people about this shady practice, we'll get enough responses to initiate a class action. My lawyer buddies are pretty interested already!!

I had to fight with management over several bogus fees they charged when I left because...well, see my previous posts. RUN RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN is a good start. ANYWAY, though we were finally able to get them to remove the illegal charges they tacked on to our final bill, and we paid them every penny, we have YET to see the 50.00 key deposit refunded. They CLAIM the refund has to come from the corporate office in TX. TX claims the ppr work hasnt been sent over. We have simply chalked our experience with Cahaba Lakes up to a VERY costly lesson. Management at this office (Lee, Blaze, Marina and the rest of them) smile in your face, swear to get something done, and never ever do anything. they are the laziest, most dishonest people I have ever dealt with in my life. At least in the slum I lived in in Homewood before I moved here I knew what I was getting when I moved in, the kept to the terms of their lease, and didnt try to get extra deposits out of me while I was there that they didnt refund when I left. Greedy, dishonest horrible disgusting people work for the direct complex management and for the management company in TX. They should be ashamed to work hold their heads up in public knowing how they are robbing people. Though, the fact that they spend their time perpetuating more lies and dishonesty by recycling one of the ONLY good opinions ever written about the place should tell us that they have NO shame and will rob you blind with smiles on their faces. |
