It's Ok, but just OK.

It's ok, but you really get what you pay for. The parking is terrible; you have a lot of non-residents that "visit" all of the time and take parking away from residents. People will double and triple park their work vehicles overnight, and some aren't even work vehicles. Cahaba Lakes should go to assigned parking, or at least parking passes so we're not walking 2-4 buildings to get to our apartment. They claim to have parking enforcement before you sign the lease, but the same people are always double / triple parking in spaces, and nothing happens to them. This is the main reason I will not renew my lease. The second issue is the lighting. At night you can't see people walking very well, and there are no sidewalks outside of the paths up to the apartments, so it's pretty dangerous for people walking at night. Ants and house centipedes are a big problem here, as are spiders and wasps. The apartments themselves are ok, but if you're on a ground level the floors are not level, so your furniture may slant. Also the doors do not fit the frames properly, and with the doors shut sometimes you can see into / out of a room anyways. The appliances / AC worked, which is a plus, and it's relatively quiet and the people are friendly for the most part. If you can overlook the terrible parking, lighting, and bug problems you should be fine here. SEk1KnECheF1ATXbXtrZ
