My roommate and I have been living here for around 4 months. So far the problems we have had to deal with have been a nightmare. The staff (with the exception of about 2 people) have been bad. They have been rude, irresponsible, fail to address complaints in a timely manner(if at all), and don't seem to really care about anything except signing more people up for a lease.

The parking is terrible to say the least. Between the lack of spaces to park and some people who just don't take time to park properly end up double parked.

Bugs are also a serious concern for these apartments. Ants will overrun the entire apartment. Some people might think that I am exaggerating. No I am not. We have had ants from one end of the apartment to the other. We keep the apartment clean but the ants seem to just come in at will and get all over everything. Centipedes aren't a huge problem but they seem to be immune to the bug spray the apartment uses. In the 4 months we have been here I have had the place sprayed several times and the bugs have never left.

The apartment its-self is not very great either. The floors are uneven, the paint job is extremely poor. The paint that had to dry by rolling down the wall is tacky and the holes that were in put in the wall from the previous tenant have been very poorly patched. And the carpet doesn't look clean at all.

My job is to perform services in other peoples homes. I have been in many many apartment complexes throughout the Birmingham and Hoover area. This place is by far the absolute worst complex I have been in ever. Cahaba Lakes charges too much for what the tenants get in return. Period.

Ohh I forgot to mention the animal that lives in the walls. I recently found out that none of my neighbors have animals. I hear claws all the time above me. I am assuming its a raccoon or some similar animal. It is very annoying...
