I moved into Cahaba Lakes in July 2009. I have been here for several months and have been happy with my apartment. I have had some maintenance issues but they have all been corrected. The landscaping is gorgeous. You def get what you pay for. Great place to live.

You've only lived there four months, just give it time, you will end up hating it like everyone else does-what with the murders, car fires, drugs in the parking lot, and the main office refusing to give your deposit back. If you insist on living there, be sure you document everything or else you will get screwed.

Just wait till the 2nd mass murder of the year happens. If you are lucky maybe it won't happen while you are living there. Maybe you will get out with them just trying to over charge you on 'fees'.

Like madde065 said, you GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. I lived at these apartments for 3 years. We outgrew and needed a 3x2. These apartments are fine. I reccomend to anyone that is looking for a great floorplan, a convenient location, and killer ammenities to go check the place out. Yeah, I read and heard about the murders too. I'm originally from LA area, then, grew up in Manhattan for a bit too, lived in Miami for a short period of time. So.....That kind of thing could happen anywhere. Don't be so closed-minded..... :)
