My roomate and I (both girls) have been living at Cameron for at least a year now and intend to stay another year. We have had no problems with break-ins, noise (other than being able to hear people come up the stairs outside at night), or maintenance thus far. In fact, we have called upon maintenance twice and both problems were fixed within a reasonable amount of time. My roomate and I have dealt with management only a few times but both agree that the girls in the leasing office are snobby and aren't helpful at all -- we are both glad that we haven't needed management for anything this past year.

The layout of our two-bedroom apartment is nice. The kitchen has tons of drawer and cabinet space and a spacious pantry. The bedrooms are on opposite ends of the apartment - the perfect roomate setup. Our living / dining area is extremely spacious. I can only come up with two drawbacks on the design of the aparment: 1) the bedrooms are really small, and 2) storage inside the aparment is limited. There is a storage closet inside the front door of our apartment; however, the shelves come so low to the floor that you have no where to store bulky items.

Overall, my roomate and I are happy at the Summit. We opened our lease at a great time and actually got a great deal on the rent! The location is wonderful! We both work downtown and take shortcuts from the Summit to minimize the time we spend on Hwy 280 in the mornings. We make use of the restaurants and the grocery store located in the Summit! I would recommend this apartment.

Would you mind sharing the shortcut you use to avoid traffic on 280?

Sure! Coming out of the apartments take a left onto Summit Blvd and go down to Overton Road. Take a left onto Overton Road and it will wind around and put you out on 280 just across from the water treatment plant and right before the Lakeshore exit.
