My brother in laws live here and it has been one mess after the other. The apartment complex is falling apart. Initially when they went to move in the entire apartment smelled like dead animals, there was 2 inches of dirt under the fridge, the carpets hadn't even been vacuumed from the previous tennant, there was dead roaches everywhere---it was a disaster. My brother in laws do not speak English and so I went to the office and made them aware. 2 weeks later they had put in new carpet and cleaned a little, but nothing spectacular. Unfourtunately they needed a place to stay and moved in. Since then, it's been a constant battle with the management to have any issue taken care of. Right now the ceiling in the bathroom is falling in from mold and water damage. The linoleum in the bathrooms is peeling up and black from water damage (the ac leaks). There are roaches EVERYWHERE. Management was made aware of this weeks ago and nothing has been done.
That is only about the interior. I could write a book about the exterior!!! No one ever cleans anything up!! There is rust and dirt and other signs of age and dilapidation everywhere!
I read other reviews on here and was amazed that some people had had positive experience. Perhaps they only treat minority groups poorly because they think that they are unable to do anything about it. I don't know. What I do know is that I personally have nothing good to say.
My husband and I pay only $100 dollars more a month to live at Colonial Grand at Riverchase Trails and it's been a dream since day one!

The place is just filthy. Management does not discriminate when it comes to ignoring their tenants complaints. I was so happy when the apartment above us caught on fire (they busted down the door however left my poor little dog in there. thank god i got home in time to get her). I would not even go in the kitchen to eat!!!!! The entire 3 months there I ate out because the roaches was terrible. Colonial Grand may be only $100 more but Cedarbrook offered more bedrooms for less that is why we chose there. I was assured any problems I had would be taken care of when we moved in AND THERE WEREN'T. I complained atleast once a week!
