Apartment finders suggested this property last summer. We had moved into a completely rebuilt unit (it had burned down the year before). At first sight, we were blown away. New paint, new appliances, new faux-hardwood floors, new everything. We signed a lease and moved it. Well, after 1 week, the glue that holds down the linoleum in the kitchen and the fake hardwoods started to come loose. This of course made the floors peel up. We submitted a work order. No one has fixed it after a year. The toilet in the master bathroom leaked all over the floor due to poor plumbing work. You had to completely shut off the water to stop the leak. We submitted a work order on the first day, and it took them 4 months to repair it.
I noticed that the air conditioning wasn't working on the 25th of April. I went to pay my rent (5 days early) and submitted a work order. No one came by to check on it at all till the 5th of may. It was a whole group of repairmen. He said that the unit needed freon. He took the air conditioning filter, flipped the circuit breaker, and said he would be right back. We never saw or heard from him again. It has been 90 degrees in my apartment for several weeks. They told us that the guy would finally come by tomorrow to fix it. My wife and I waited ALL day. No one ever came by. We just went by to speak with the manager. She said that the workman said he had entered the apartment and fixed the problem.
HE LIED!!! He never came by. He would rather fill out a fake progress report than replace an air filter and use a can of freon.
The girls across the hall from us set their apartment on fire. The sprinklers went off and soaked everything. The crew that they got to come in and tear out all of the wet carpet and such piled all of that wet crap right outside of our door and left it there for 2 months!!!
There are no visible lines on the parking spaced. My car has been hit and needed a new front end.. as well as being dinged countless times.
The pool has no water in it, and the grass wasn't cut for over a month. I was walking my dog, and stepped on a piece of broken glass where someone had been smashing beer bottles against a tree. I couldn't see the shards cause of the overgrown grounds.
All of my neighbors leave their trash outside of their doors, and because of this, there are dozens (seriously) of stray cats around our apartment that do nothing but feed on this garbage, have more kittens, and howl all night.
A police officer lived below me. His apartment was broken into. The criminals simply kicked in the front door and took everything.
There were some feuding families in our building. When one of the little girls was walking by, the teenagers from across the hall threw a pot of boiling water at her.
There is screaming in the breezeway all the time, and parties with loud bass music at all times. You can even hear the neighbors having sex and arguing at all hours of the night.
I have had to call the cops several times to stop the noise. Once, my wife called the cops on the girls across the hall because they were partying with their boyfriends on the breezeway stairs. After the cops left, all those girls started beating at our front door with their fists and rocks and such, saying things like, "you think I'm afraid of you'" There are still dents in the door from this.
We have had 2 drug dealers live in our building, and both of them got busted. One for leaving a firearm sitting in the passenger seat of his car.
We have had people randomly walk into our apartment who were so wasted that they didn't know where they were. We started locking out door, and now they just bang on it.
DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!
This apartment complex is managed by the laziest group of people I have ever seen. We will be moving as soon as we find another place.
