You're better off renting a house!

My husband and I have lived here for a year and a half and we cannot wait until our lease is up so we can move out of here!!! The things that frustrate us may seem minor, but when you're paying almost $1,000 a month in rent for a 2 bedroom apartment, they aren't so minor anymore.
Number 1: Make sure your rent is on time-EVERYTIME! They give you until the 3rd at 6 PM and threaten you with an eviction notice if you are late, even if it's the first time you've been late in over a year--it's very offensive and insulting!!!
Number 2: The pool is closed before Labor Day weekend. Now I don't know if this is normal or not. The only place that you are allowed to barbecue is by the pool and I thought that Labor Day=Barbecue. I guess not at Chace Lake Villas.
Number 3: If you have lived in your apartment for over 3 months and you have a maintenance problem, be prepared to wait at least a week for them to get to you. When we first moved in they came every single time we called, if not that day the day after. After about the 3 month mark they decided we weren't as important and they would take their time getting to us. Last time I called I had to call 3 times before someone would come out and supposedly fix what is still broken.
Number 4: If you're on the second or first floor, be prepared to hear every time your neighbor walks around or takes a shower/bath.
Number 5: Make sure you have your own washer/dryer. They have some there, but the dryers don't work, yet they still charge you $3 per cycle.
Your best bet for the price is to rent a house! I'm sure the landlord will at least give you until the 5th to pay rent and won't insult you if you're a day late!
