Horrible Management! Ridiculously Overpriced!

I recently moved out of the Grove (now Colonial Grand at Riverchase Trails) and I wouldn't wish for my worst enemy to have to live there. I lived there from June 2003-March 2006 and things went steadily downhill the entire time I was a resident. Like other reviewers have mentioned, please do not bother rationalizing paying more to live there becacuse they are a gated community with a workout facility. During the three years I lived there, the gates were operational, maybe 30% of the time. Additionally, the workout facility is incredibly outdated and the lack of maintenance is laughable. Machines have stayed broken in the workout center for months at a time. As my rent increased, so did my frustration with the complex. When I got a dog, they tried to make me pay $400 non-refundable and $100 refundable. FYI, now they are trying to make me pay over $100 for cleaning fees, why did I pay all of those fees then' I had two separate incidents involving rude neighbors leaving incredibly rude notes on my car. I contacted the office about both incidents, being assured they would send a letter to residents reminding them of the importance of courtesy, but, of course, the management never followed through on this promise. The management could not be more apathetic and unknowledgable if they tried. Please spend your money elsewhere and don't support a company that treats their tenants like they are doing them a favor to let them live in their community. Incerdibly bad showing Colonial Grand at Riverchase Trails!
