Apartments are great, but the staff needs replacing or training

Overall I am very very pleased with the apartment itself. It is a safe area near the action of 280. I have one of the newer apts and I love the layout and the space. The neighbors are great and it's a good area. The parking situation is a little cramped. We have to use both handicapped spaces (2 of 7 spaces in our lot) just to fit all the cars for my building. I think rent is a little too pricey, but managable. The one major thing I am very unhappy with is the staff. Most of them are nice enough but they seem to have a hard time getting things done. I have called the office 3 times to have them look at our smoke detectors (only one works) and to take care of a major ant situation, which we eventually had to take care of ourselves. I guess if there's a fire we could sue the pants off of them...if we live through it. I would think that there are certain fire codes they would need to follow, but anyway...There was a situation where a non-resident's non-working, flat-tired hunk-o-junk car was camped out in between 2 spaces in our already cramped parking lot for over a month. I finally called the office daily for about 10 days, each time getting the same answer "It will be towed tomorrow" I finally gave up and contacted the corporate office. After that the situation was taken care of, but by a corporate manager, not the complex's manager. I would and have recommended this place to anyone. I really enjoy living here...when I don't have a problem that the staff needs to address anyway.
