When I first moved to Birmingham I was new at apartment searching. I saw Colonial Village and thought it looked great. I was shown the model apartment and it was beautiful however they would not show me a unit that was available for rent (now I know why). When it came time to move they took me to the apartment that I would be renting and I was highly disappointed. There was loud music below me, the appliances and the tile in the kitchen were straight from the 70?s and there were spiders everywhere. The staff was rude and could not keep up with anything. I wound up transferring to another Colonial property just to get out of this awful complex. The neighbors were noisey yet the staff did nothing to help out and they even lost my check to pay for the transfer fee. The grounds are relatively nice but the apartments and the staff leave little to be desired! Be sure and view an apartment OTHER than the model and if possible view the one YOU will be moving into before signing the lease!!!
