My husband and I lived in these apartments for 1 1/2 yrs and honestly, it's not all bad. They are obviously not the nicest apartments, but if you're going to live here, don't expect that. We had no major problems.. we had minor things go wrong that we would call maintenance about (leaky tub, etc) but they came and fixed it. I think people posting about this apartment complex are too picky and need to understand that Colonial Village is older and is not going to be perfect. But, again, we had no major issues. Also, we paid less than $500 for a 2 bed, 2 bath- it was a great deal- about $250 less than it should have been if I remember correctly. And, when it was time to renew our lease, the rent didn't even increase when they easily could have shot it up $250 more. They also worked with us when we moved out before our lease ended- we found a subleaser and they gave him a great deal too, even better than ours!
So, all in all, not the nicest, newest, but it was a decent place, great location, and the grounds are typically kept up very well. Your apartment is what you make it (most of the time).
