I moved to colonial villiage last year during the summer...at first i thought the apartment complex was soooo nice (being i'm from a small town) but after a few months i noticed how the maintenance people didn't do their job well, they will just fix it enough just to keep you quiet for awhile. I ran into a hardship having a hard time finding a decent job and they act like they didn't care at all, i was told to pay it in 3 days or move! If I had the money i would've moved in a heartbeat, but i couldn't so i'm stuck here for another 6 months. The staff never answers their phone, so i email them anytime something is wrong. I usually get a response back from one particular person that works for them. The claim their are designated areas for animals to crap @...which i guess is all over the complex. I just get tired of everytime i walk out my door, i see dog poo every freaking where. I have nothing against pets, but dang they should at least respect the people that don't have pets and don't want to see the poo-poo everytime they walk out the door! I can't wait until my lease is up, i'm saving to move to a better complex, where the staff cares and the maintenance people do their job right the first time!

You signed a LEASE, which is a legal document, saying that you would pay x amount of money each month. When you can't do that, they aren't going to be "nice" and "care". They want their money! Did you expect them to just be like, "Ok, just live here for free for a few months until you get back on your feet." Are you 12?

First off all, you don't know the entire situation of what happened during that time. I didn't ask them for a hand out, and I didn't ask them to let me stay there for free. I know alot of complexs in and out of the city of birmingham that treat tenants alot better when they have death in family, lost their job, or just falling on hardtime, etc they most certainly won't let you stay there for free, but they are a little more compasionate than just giving you 3 ------- days. I just gave the readers a snippet of my experience here darling...if you know what snippet means, then you know that i didn't included all the details entirely. O and Ms. Mimi507....before you claim to make a small minded comment like that on anything I post...make sure you cross your I's and dot your T's....b/c NEVER IN THE WHOLE STATEMENT DID I SAY I DIDN'T WANT TO PAY, OR I WANTED THEM TO LET ME LIVE IN THE APARTMENT RENT FREE, NOTHING OF THAT NATURE. Get your thought process together before you think to write a 12yr commment again hon. LOL
