FACTS:
Fireplaces do not work.
Tennis court has no nets.
"State of the art" fitness center has two working machines that are very old.
Police cars nearly everyday.
Robberies.
Break-ins.
Unsavory characters loitering.
Children knocking on doors and running.
Appliances do not work.
Wiring is awful.
Mold.
Trash issues.

I have reviewed your comments and I am very concerned. Monte D'Oro is a great community and we have a wonderful staff. If there is a maintenance request that we have been made aware of we close within 48 hours of receiving it. Monte D'Oro has struggles with obstacles just like any other community, but we strive daily to try and overcome them. At this time we have chosen to close the fireplaces, but are still looking into other solutions. Monte D'Oro will be doing some upgrades, including painting, new carpet in the breezeway and resurfacing the tennis courts.

As of September 7th, 2009, none of the fixes jkillingsworth has stated have even been started, so I can back up what what the original poster stated. In fact, the problems have only gotten worse, with even more vague responses, even after new management took over in April, 2009. Since this took place, it has only gotten worse. Water billing was changed with caused a huge increase for about 95% of the residents, in order to save money for the management, and policies have basically been put on hold so that anyone can pretty much do what they want. Vacancy rates have increased and management seems extremely frustrated and unable to deal with what is happening.
