Ok, but some problems

I've lived here a LONG time, and I've been generally happy with my apartment. Needless to say, I've seen many people come and go. The quality of the residents is definitely going down. Lately, the buiding I live in feels like a college frat house. Seriously, I think the resident above me does gymnastics on a nightly basis, or else has an elephant for a pet. When I say I hear everything, I mean EVERYTHING. I'd say 90% of the residents in the building smoke, and you can't open your patio door without being hit with a cloud of lung-clogging muck. I guess that's better than having them smoke in their apartments. Smoke easily filters into adjoining units.
There are no w/d connections in the one-bedroom units, and the laundry room is extremely small. You pretty much have to fight for a washer when you need to do laundry.
Parking is an issue (at least at my building). I think several residents have multiple cars, and one inoperable car has been parked there for months and months, taking up valuable space. In fact, I think the person who it belonged to may have moved out. I know management has been made aware of the problem, but nothing has been done about it.
I've never had a problem with maintenance, and (in my experience) the maintenance guys take care of any problems within 24 hours. Someone even came over in the middle of the night when there was a serious problem.
