Examine your lease, security is a big issue, and the trooper does not stay around after the sun sets. Call the school district, they are planning to re-zone, & Colonial Village at Trussville is NOT IN TRUSSVILLE, it MAY be removed from the Trussville district, change in school district will not release you from your lease. Hope you like roaches, ants, centipedes, and mold. Knock on doors before you sign, particularly the 500 and 900 buildings. Doors get kicked in in broad daylight and robbed, robbery at knifepoint in the parking lot. First floor apartments may be in flood zones, it's in the lease and people have been flooded before. You will not get out of your lease without paying BIG. They will make you renew early or pay a big rent increase if you wait until lease expiration. If you came from a slum you'll like it here. Most people only stay because they need to be in Trussville School District, or because they can't afford to get out of their lease. You can rent a house in Trussville for close to same $ or a little more. If you don't care about the school district, go to the new place closer to Birmingham, it costs half as much and is brand new.
