I live in Eagle Ridge right now and I seriously could not be more unhappy. I moved to Birmingham from Auburn and thought that I could not live in a worse apartment complex than the ones I lived in at Auburn. I was so wrong. There are the biggest roaches and spiders that I have ever seen infesting the inside of the apartments as well as the outside and stairwells. I am afraid to walk up the stairs at night because the HUGE spiders are out in their webs everywhere. If I have ever needed anything fixed, I have pretty much given up on it. I moved in here in December and stuff I asked to be fixed on the day I moved in have still not been fixed and it is August! There are loud pipe noises in the walls and no matter how many times I say something about it, nothing ever seems to get done. All of the outside lighting in the stairwells and on the outside of the buildings are blown out, and when I asked the office to replace the light bulbs so that I can see to get to my apartment at night, they told me that "they were not resposible for my "safety"!'!' I'm not sure why blown light bulbs have anything to do with my safety. Also, the kind of people that live in this community disturbs me. Which is kind of surprising considering how extremely over-priced the apartments are. There are apartments with way too many people living in them that stand outside and stare at you and watch you walk to your apartment. I am honestly afraid to take my dog out at night. Speaking of pets, they obviously have no policy (and if they do they don't enforce it) about residents picking up their dogs poop, so there are piles of dog crap everywhere. It's also pretty much impossible to find a parking space if you get home past 9:00pm, so people park anywhere they can, sometimes blocking other people in. And people with huge work vans and trucks squeeze in the tiny parking spaces next to all the other cars. Therefore, my new car is now covered in scratches. I could keep going for hours about my other complaints, but I'll just end by saying "Eagle Ridge sucks!"
