My apartment was bad at first, but it got better

My apartment had a leak in the roof, it was not bad, but the maintenance said that they "fixed" it 3 times. My roof still leaked the same as it always had. The appliances were all new, and I had a dishwasher along with full sized appliances in my studio, which is RARE on Highland (considering the price that I paid for rent). All the light fixtures were new, along with refurbished hardwood floors, a nicely sized bathroom with an awesome bathtub. Overall I liked living there, it was frustrating at times to deal with the maintenance and constantly changing management (which happened 3 times while I lived there). I liked the courtyard, it was a nice place to go and sit outside and relax with friends and for the most part it was kept clean/well landscaped. The management office was not on site, but it was within walking distance from the apartment building. I would recommend this place to young UAB students looking to live close to campus (it took me about 15-20 min. to get to class) and have a safe/convenient place to call home.
