I've lived at Inverness for 2 1/2 years. I am in the process of finding another place to live. I've had it with the ants and roaches, the drunk guy who takes up 27 parking places at night and who always has smelly beer cans outside his apartment, the folks who don't care that some of us go to bed before the crack of dawn and don't care to listen to their music blaring so loudly it rattles the windows, the grilling on balconies, and the lack of clean, available laundry facilities.
I've spoken to management on several occasions about each of these issues but nothing ever seems to be done about them. I will say that the team currently running the property are pleasant even if they not always there. Office hours are until 6 in the evening during the week, but I've gone down to the office several times at 5:45 and even 5:30 to find it locked up tight with the lights off.
I live in a one bedroom which is spacious enough but the kitchens are terribly lacking in counter and cupboard space. The grout/caulk in the bathroom is old, sloppy and disgusting looking. When they took the wallpaper down from the kitchen and bathroom walls, they left the glue and just painted over it. Interesting textured effect. (As I was moving to Birmingham from out of state, I did not get to see my unit before I moved into it - only a "model").
Take a look at these apartments if you are interested. Decide if the above issues I have are things you can deal with. If they are then it is a convenient, fairly average place to live.
