I have moved into a 1000sq ft 1br only a month ago and i am so far very pleased. I had come from a filthy, loud and overpriced heart of downtown apartment with no parking. Now I find myself drinking coffee in my boxers on a private porch (the porch is 3x bigger than a normal apartment porch) looking at lake heather. I am woken up by geese and ducks instead of drunks and crack heads. The neighbors are decent people from all walks of life and are very friendly. There is some noise from the other units that I can here sometimes, but hey, its an apartment. This has to be one of the most quietest places I have lived in BHM. The laundry rooms are modern and very well kept. i can wash twice as much in these washers than my own set, and they will come out dry every time. Almost all the units have WD connections except the one bedrooms. The price is fair for the peace and quiet. Lastly, the trash service is a good bonus. Just leave it at the door and they come get it about 9pm.
All in all, I looked for four months for a good place for the money. This was the best deal i have found in BHM.
PS The traffic down 280 is not as bad as they say. I can get to UAB in 15 min from my door.
