Do Not Sign A Contract with Kenley! From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 1/11/2005 Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2004   I lived at Kenley for two years and I would honestly advise anyone looking at Kenley to consider another complex. There are other complexes in the area where you will get much more for your money. First, let me say what I liked about the complex. The maintenance staff is extremely friendly. I enjoyed getting to know them and they made my stay there more enjoyable. (It did take two days for them to come unclog my toilet and saturated my carpet while washing the porch above ours while doing nothing about it, but that may be attributed to the staff)..but hey...they are nice guys anyway. The grounds are very nice and well kept throughout the year. THE BAD!-It started even before I moved in. The apartment they showed me and told me would be mine was one that had a nice view overlooking the lake. I moved in from out of town and when I arrived they said that one was not available. The only one available was in a dungeon right by all of the AC units for the building. Thanks! The building is cheaply made. I could hear my neighbors conversations quite clearly(among other things) and I am quite sure they could hear mine. After two years I had to relocate due to a job transfer. I had to pay over $3000 to get out of my lease! The staff was unsympathetic and said that was the stipulations of the contract I signed. DO NOT SIGN A CONTRACT WITH KENLEY! I even had to pay for new carpet which was in horrible condition when I moved in, as stated in the form I turned in at the beginning. I am aware that running an apartment complex is a business and is intended to make money but that can be done without your goal being to rob your tenants for everything you can get out of them.
