I am a newly single, with dog. Had to sell house, bla.. bla... bla..

I looked an concidered many apartments. I ended up looking at over 16 apartments in the area, and in other areas including Hueytown, Riverchase, and Homewood.

I previously had rented an apartment in a complex that were built around the same time - early 1970's. I know what to expect when renting, and communication with management is on the top of the list.

Contacting the manager is easy, and I haven't even moved in. The manager is understanding, and thus so should the tenant. Note: emergancy repairs should get top priorities. Maybee because I am a guy, I would fix small appearance problems, rather than wait on it to be done by maintenance. I would let management know of course of any small repairs made. - I would not expect monitary credit for those repairs.

Yes, you will hear people walking around upstairs, but remember all but the top units will hear people walking around. I live in a two story house - same thing I experience here now.

Meeting your neighbors and having a good relationship will make your living situation better.

Price is competitive with other units in area. Thank goodness the new management, Ruffner mountain properites has evicted all the stereotypical "noisy neighbors".

I look forward to my new place to call home, and I will up-date when I get moved in.

Ok I moved into the complex a couple of months ago. I got a 1 br. 1 ba. apartment with W/D Connection. Had no major problems just a few expected problems:

1. The drier exaust had to be cleaned out.
2. Horrible wallpaper in bathroom. I was allowed to wallpaper myself at my expence. 32.00 and 1 day was worth it.
3. A/C condensation drainage - well eneded up in my hallway - from upstairs. Emerg. Call responce was fast!
4. Bad electrical socket for Refreg. in Kitchen... Emerg. Repair. VERY FAST!

Manager is very nice and responsive. Corrects any problems fast. Management is swift and to the point. Nights and Weekends the entrance has security guard - checking every vehicle coming into complex - CAN I SAY - BETTER THAN A GATED COMMUNITY.

Management works with you not against you.

Went from a 2,800 sq. foot house to a 1 br/1ba - Transition was very easy! Thanks you Carmen!
